Session 1: Building Your IT Mental Model
What does IT actually do for a business? We build the framework every tech recruiter needs. Learn to distinguish between hardware, software, and operating systems in plain language. Understand what it means when you see Linux or specific OS knowledge on a CV and why it carries real weight in technical hiring.
Session 2: Infrastructure and Networks
How the technology landscape shapes the roles. We explain LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and DNS without making you an engineer. Learn how networking has shifted in the cloud era (SD-WAN, network virtualisation) and how to read Cisco certifications (CCNA to CCIE) as accurate signals of seniority.
Team Workshop Presentations
Delegates break into assigned teams to prepare and deliver 5-minute briefs on Cybersecurity Basics, Networking Basics, or Cloud Basics as if advising a non-technical hiring manager.
Session 3: Cloud & Cybersecurity
The two frontiers every tech recruiter must understand. We cover the shift to cloud (IaaS vs PaaS vs SaaS), the market differences between AWS, Azure, and GCP, and how to read cloud certifications. Session 5: Developers, DevOps & Architects
What they actually do and what has changed. We differentiate Front-End, Back-End, and Full-Stack, and decode programming language dominance. We dive deep into how AI tools (GitHub Copilot) alter developer productivity, before breaking down the DevOps toolchain (CI/CD, Kubernetes) and the three distinct tiers of IT Architects.
